Frequently asked questions
What is the Brackify League System?
The League System is a multi-event tournament type where sub tournaments run one at a time in a fixed order, completed stops lock permanently, and a cross-tournament League Standing tracks every participant across the whole season. Each stop awards points by final placement, and the standings table shows rank, wins, losses, games, current streak, best win streak, win ratio, and total points.
How does league scoring work?
Every tournament in the league awards points by final placement: 30 points for 1st, 22 for 2nd, 17 for 3rd, 13 for 4th, 9 for 5th to 6th, 6 for 7th to 8th, 4 for 9th to 12th, 3 for 13th to 16th, and 2 for 17th to 32nd. Players placing 33rd or below earn 1 point if they played at least one match. Players who go 0 and 2 still receive 1 participation point, and a disqualification for a no-show costs 10 points.
Can results be changed after a league stop is completed?
No. Once an organizer marks a league tournament as completed, its bracket, results, and standings contribution are permanently frozen. Status changes, match result edits, and participant changes are all blocked by the server. This protects the integrity of the season so players know locked results will never be rewritten.
How is a League different from a Seasonal Event on Brackify?
Both group multiple tournaments under one event. A Season is the flexible container: sub tournaments can run in any order or in parallel, and there is no cross-tournament leaderboard. A League is the strict one: stops run sequentially, completed stops lock forever, and a persistent standings table accumulates points, wins, losses, and streaks across every stop.
How are players tracked across league tournaments?
Signed-in registrants are tracked by their account, so changing a display name between stops does not fragment their record. Guest participants are tracked by normalized name. That means a player who enters every weekly under slightly different capitalization still accumulates one continuous league record.
What happens if standings ever look wrong?
Organizers can run a recompute from the standings table. The engine wipes the standings and replays every completed tournament in order, rebuilding points, streaks, and ranks from the locked results. Because completed stops are immutable, the recompute always converges to the same correct season state.
Is the League System free to use?
Yes. You can create a league event, add sub tournaments, run brackets, and publish live standings on Brackify for free. Create the event with the Multiple Events option in the bracket wizard, then pick League System under Format and Rules.
