Frequently Asked Questions

What is Brackify?

Brackify is an all-in-one platform for discovering, hosting, and sharing fighting-game tournaments. We combine a global event calendar, social tools, automation, and premium analytics for players, organizers, and fans.

Do I need an account to use Brackify?

You can browse select listings without signing in, but an account is required to follow events, create tournaments, join brackets, post on the feed, manage badges, or access subscription features.

How do subscriptions and pricing work?

We offer free, Plus, and Pro tiers. Paid plans unlock additional features such as advanced analytics, premium social publishing, Discord/Twitch integrations, branding tools, and extended automation. Plans renew automatically until you cancel.

Do you offer trials or discounts?

Yes. Eligible users can start a free trial before the first billing cycle. The trial converts to a paid plan on the displayed renewal date unless cancelled beforehand.

Is there a refund policy?

All subscription payments are final. Because Brackify delivers digital goods immediately, we do not issue refunds or pro-rated credits. You may cancel a plan at any time to prevent future charges, and you can cancel during a trial to avoid billing.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you subscribed on the web, visit Account; Subscription to cancel. If you subscribed via Apple App Store or Google Play, manage the subscription in your store account settings per Apple/Google policies.

Which payment methods are accepted?

On the web we process payments through Stripe (credit/debit cards, select wallets). In mobile apps, Apple or Google billing options apply. Taxes or currency conversion fees are determined by your payment provider.

What happens to my data when my subscription ends?

You retain access to your account and free features after cancellation. Premium data (such as advanced analytics exports) may be archived or limited, but we keep core account records in line with our Privacy Policy.

How does Brackify keep my information safe?

We use encryption in transit, hardened infrastructure, access controls, security monitoring, and threat detection. Payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant providers (Stripe, Apple, Google). Review our Privacy Policy for full details.

How does Brackify comply with Apple and Google policies?

Our mobile apps adhere to all App Store and Play Store terms, including purchase disclosures, refund handling, and content guidelines. Apple and Google are not responsible for Brackify’s services or support; direct questions to our team.

Can I integrate Discord or Twitch?

Yes. Pro tier organizers can connect Discord and Twitch to automate announcements, stream markers, and predictions. You are responsible for acquiring necessary permissions from your community and complying with platform rules.

Do you support esports outside fighting games?

Our tooling focuses on fighting games today, but many features are adaptable to other competitive events. We welcome feedback at [email protected].

How do badges and progression work?

Progression badges track wins, participation milestones, and custom tournament-organizer awards. Stats update when brackets are marked complete. If you believe a badge is missing, contact support with the event link.

Who should I contact for legal or policy questions?

For privacy matters email [email protected]. For legal inquiries email [email protected]. For general support, billing, or appeals contact [email protected].

What is the Brackify Creator Program?

The Brackify Creator Program is an affiliate partnership for content creators, streamers, and community figures in the FGC (fighting game community). Accepted creators receive a unique referral code that earns them a 30% commission on eligible subscription payments made by users who subscribe using that code.

How do I apply to the Creator Program?

Visit the Creator Program page from the main menu and complete the application form. We ask for your platform details, follower counts, content focus, and a personal statement. Applications are reviewed manually and you will receive an email decision. There is no minimum follower requirement, but we look for engaged, authentic communities.

How does a creator code work?

Once accepted, you receive a unique code in the format BRK-XXXX-XXXX. Share it with your audience and ask them to enter it at checkout on the Brackify Pricing page. The code is automatically validated and the commission attribution window begins at first use.

What is the commission rate and attribution window?

Accepted creators earn 30% of each eligible net subscription payment attributed to their code. The attribution window is 6 months per subscriber from the date of first code use. Commission rates are subject to change with 30 days advance notice to active creators.

When and how do creators get paid?

Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect Express to your verified bank or debit account. Withdrawals are initiated when your pending balance reaches the $50.00 USD minimum threshold. Most transfers complete within 1 to 3 business days depending on your bank.

Can I use my own creator code to subscribe?

No. Self-referrals are strictly prohibited. Using your own code, or arranging for a closely associated account to use it, is a policy violation and may result in commission forfeiture and removal from the program.

What is a Team Battle tournament?

Team Battle is a dedicated bracket format on Brackify designed for team vs. team competition. Up to 8 teams, each with a named roster, logo, and color, compete through a custom multi-round structure that adapts to every team count from 2 to 8, including special bye and seeding rules for odd-numbered fields. Each team is represented by a captain who registers the roster.

How do I join a Team Battle as a player?

Players appear in the bracket as listed members of a team. To become a team captain, visit the Team Battle bracket page and either claim an open slot (Public mode) or accept your email invitation (Invite-Only mode). Once you are captain, enter your players' names in the roster for your team slot. You do not need to be a captain to appear in a match, only your captain needs a Brackify account.

How do I create a Team Battle bracket?

Open the Brackets page and launch the Bracket Creation Wizard. In the Format & Structure step, select "Team Battle" as the bracket type, then choose the number of competing teams (2 to 8) and team size (players per team). Complete the wizard, publish the bracket, and configure team slots from the Admin Panel.

What is a "bye" in Team Battle?

In odd-numbered team brackets (3, 5, or 7 teams) one team cannot be paired evenly in Round 1, so they receive a bye, a free pass to the next round where they wait for their opponent. Admins select which team gets the bye in the Admin Settings before the tournament starts. Byes are also used in 7-team brackets where one team advances directly to Semi Finals.

What is the Direct Finals Seed in a 6-team bracket?

In a 6-team bracket, all 6 teams compete in Round 1 (3 matches), but Semi Finals only has one match (2 spots). That means one of the three Round 1 winners must bypass Semi Finals and go directly to the Finals bracket. The admin designates this before the tournament starts using the "Direct Finals Seed" setting. The chosen team wins Round 1 normally and then waits in Finals while the other two R1 winners play out Semi Finals.

What is Invite-Only mode in Team Battle?

Invite-Only mode restricts captain registration to specific people chosen by the admin. The admin enters each captain's email address in the Admin Settings, then clicks "Send Invites." Each captain receives a branded email with a secure, single-use link that expires in 72 hours. The captain clicks the link, signs in to Brackify, and claims their pre-assigned team slot. Only users whose email or account matches the admin's invitation can register. Individual invites can be resent if a captain misses the first email.

Can I reset a Team Battle after it has started?

Yes. Admins can use the "Reset Tournament" button in the Admin Settings. This clears all match scores, player eliminations, and advancement progress, returning the bracket to the registration-open state. All team identities, rosters, logos, and captain assignments are preserved, the reset does not affect who is registered, only the match results. A confirmation is required before the reset is executed.

How are scores calculated in Team Battle?

Scores are based on player eliminations. During a match, the admin marks individual players as eliminated using the ❌ button on each player card in the visualizer. A team's score equals the number of players they have eliminated from the opposing team. For example, in a 3v3 match: if your team has taken out 2 of the opponent's players, your score shows 2. Eliminations can be undone at any point until the match winner is officially declared.

What happens after I declare a match winner in Team Battle?

Once you click "Declare Winner," the winning team is automatically placed into the next available slot in the subsequent round. The match is locked (elimination marks can no longer be changed). For 5-team and 6-team brackets, a decision modal may appear asking the admin to route the winner to Semi Finals or directly to Finals, depending on which slots are still available.

Can spectators watch Team Battle brackets without an account?

Yes. Public Team Battle bracket pages are viewable without signing in. Spectators can see the live bracket, all team rosters, match scores, elimination state, and round history in real time. They can also view the Predictions tab (if enabled) and download match graphics. Only claiming a captain slot, submitting predictions, or managing a team requires a Brackify account.
