How to Run a Street Fighter 6 Tournament

Select Double Elimination and your player count. 32-player brackets are standard for locals; 64–128 for regionals and qualifiers. Enter player names/gamertags. Apply seeds if available. Share the bracket URL to your event Discord channel. Run rounds. Report match results as character-select timers expire and sets finish. Losers drop to the challengers side. Execute Top 8 and Grand Finals. Standard SF6 format: Top 8 is Bo3 until semifinals (Bo5), Grand Finals is Bo5 with WF advantage.

Frequently asked questions

What game settings do SF6 tournaments use?

Standard SF6 tourney settings: 99-second timer, 2 rounds per game, best-of-3 games per set (Bo5 at semis/finals). Drive Rush and all modern/classic controls are typically legal. Modern Controls controversy varies by TO, specify your house rules in the bracket description.

Can I run a Street Fighter 6 online bracket?

Yes. Online SF6 brackets are very common through the Capcom Online ecosystem. Set up the bracket on Brackify, share the link, and players coordinate their match lobbies via SF6's Battle Hub or private room codes. The TO monitors and enters results as reported.

How does seeding work for a Street Fighter tournament?

Good seeding prevents top players from eliminating each other early. Use Capcom Pro Tour rankings, your regional PR list, or results from previous events. Brackify's bracket editor lets you manually set seeds, the bracket auto-adjusts to separate seeded players.

Should I run SF6 with single or double elimination?

Double elimination is the community standard for any serious SF event. It guarantees every player at least two sets, which improves player experience and reduces "I drove 2 hours and lost my first match" frustration. Single elimination is only appropriate for very casual, time-limited events.
