Your Spectators Have Opinions. Put Them on the Board.

Bracket predictions let fans call the winner, runner-up, and third place before a tournament starts. Correct calls earn points, points build a leaderboard, and the leaderboard keeps your whole community invested until the last match ends.

Frequently asked questions

How do bracket predictions work on Brackify?

When an organizer enables predictions on a bracket, anyone can pick who will finish first, second, and third before the tournament starts. Predictions stay open while the bracket is in registration or check-in and lock the moment play begins. When the tournament completes, points are awarded for correct calls and a prediction leaderboard ranks every predictor.

How are prediction points scored?

A correct winner pick earns 10 points, a correct second place pick earns 6 points, and a correct third place pick earns 4 points, for a maximum of 20 points per bracket. Each placement is scored independently, so you still earn points for calling the runner-up even if your champion pick loses early.

Do predictions work on Team Battle events?

Yes. Team Battle brackets support predictions on team placements. Events with at least two teams support winner and second place picks, and events with three or more placements add the third place pick. The prediction leaderboard works the same way as on standard brackets.

When do predictions lock?

Predictions are open while the bracket is in registration open, registration closed, or check-in status. As soon as the organizer starts the tournament, predictions lock permanently, so every pick on the board was made before a single match was played.

How do organizers turn predictions on?

Predictions are a per-bracket toggle. When creating or editing a bracket, enable the predictions option and the Predictions tab appears on the public bracket page. There is nothing else to configure; scoring, locking, and the leaderboard are automatic.

Why add predictions to a tournament?

Predictions give spectators a stake in the outcome. Fans who make a pick return to check results, share the bracket to recruit rival predictors, and stay through finals to see if their call holds. For organizers it is free engagement: more pre-event traffic, more shares, and a reason for the community to talk about seeding before the bracket even starts.

Is the predictions feature free?

Yes. Predictions are part of the Brackify platform and free to enable on any bracket, including brackets created on the free plan.
